Celebrating Administrative Professionals Day With Laura

Celebrating Administrative Professionals Day With Laura

April 26th is Administrative Professionals Day, and Evantage, Inc. couldn’t pass up the chance to celebrate our Organizational Recruiting Consultant, Laura!  Laura is the glue of our company and keeps the day-to-day flow running smoothly and efficiently. Not only does she keep everything together behind the scenes, but she always has a smile on her face and brings light and warmth to the office every day.

Laura grew up in a small town in central Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana Tech in 2005.  She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising and Consumer Studies and got a job in retail out of college. Laura left her job in retail in 2006 when she realized there was no opportunity for advancement and began her career as an entry level sales representative at Evantage, Inc.! “What I saw was a company that allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. I like working with people that keep me motivated and focused.” -Laura

Since joining us at Evantage, Inc., Laura’s ambition and determination has taken her far!  She has climbed the ladder from an entry level position and is now a Promoting Recruiter, Executive Recruiter, Organizational Recruiter Consultant, Featured Consultant, and part of the Recruiter Club!  Her goals for the future entail being a corporate trainer for all Human Resources staff as Evantage, Inc. expands into new locations!  Laura is the embodiment of hard work, patience and ambition, and her accomplishments are proof that if you put in the work, you can achieve!

Laura has come a long way from retail employee, to entry level sales rep, to Organizational Recruiter Consultant!  We had to ask her what sticks out as her biggest growth/personal lesson along her journey; “I’m an introvert, so speaking to people was never my strength. Since starting in the business, I have stepped out of my comfort zone, and now I don’t mind talking to people.  I’ve learned to never, ever give up- especially when life gets challenging.”

Laura’s favorite aspects of the business include; creating her own schedule, helping her teammates and friends hit their goals and providing opportunity for others.  As a matter of fact, when interviewing her for this article, she also wanted us to ensure we were giving props to the entire team at Evantage, Inc.  “Brooke, Alinza, and Trinh are driving forces behind the firm and continue to bring joy to the office each day.  These ladies are the Real MVP”, she says.

Another big plus of this business is the opportunity to travel.  We travel a lot for training, networking, R&R and corporate events. “Ive traveled most of the US, and a few other countries including Canada, Bahamas, Mexico and Europe. My favorite places are the Grand Canyon and Hawaii.”-Laura

Laura would like to finish with some simple, but powerful advice for those who are interested in a career in this field. “Never quit. Be resilient. Be relentless to hit your goals.”

We hope that you’ve enjoyed getting to know Laura as much as we have! To learn more about the team at Evantage, Inc., visit us online!
